ok i dont know much about what it is, but when i pulled down the driveshaft, the rear section with the 2 caps that come unbolted from the rear yoke, those jokers didnt turn too smooth. are they suppose to? if so can i replace it. i didnt take a good look at it to see exactly what it was my dad just said it should spin a little better than that.

Yes, they should turn smoothly- take it to a good driveshaft shop and have them replace the u-joint.
