12-bolt Spool is pretty strong for an A4. Strange has a super lightweight spool 12-bolt. I believe it's 140lbs with all lightening options. If I didn't care about turning at all, I'd do that.

I will sell a Strange 12 bolt no problem, but I am also going to spend some time with you on the phone to make sure you understand the differences between all the rearends and the costs involved. There are pros and cons for every design out there, it's simply a matter of what fits your needs and budget with some room to grow.

Yes I cleared that up with him. He did sell me mine but prefers not to sell them anymore and I understand his point of view.

Should I try a 12 bolt which id prefer or go with a 9" which im leaning more towards?? This will be a street strip car but a lot of time at the track when done.

Here's my plans:
Street strip car
Heads cam ls6 n/a
aiming for 10.5's in 1/4 mile
Running a slick
Using a built 4l65E
at least a 4000 converter if not a little bigger

So what would you guys suggest from experience??
I haven't posted it up yet, but I have a Moser 9" that I am loooking to sell. Wavetrack diff, 35 spline axles with 1/2"x3" studs, backbraced, 3 channel ABS, LCA relocation brackets, billet fill plug. It currently has 3.55 gears in it but those are easy to change. I bought it from Bob at Brute Speed and he can vouch that this thing is a beast. Also have a PST 3.5" aluminum driveshaft that is the correct length for a 9" in an F-body with stock trans. The slip yoke on the DS is 31 spline so that would need to be swapped but otherwise it is a great shaft. Approximately 2000 miles on rear and shaft. Just throwing a feeler out there. If interested, let me know and I will give youa price.

To the OP, this would be a great combination for you. Bob

Thanks Bob. It has been an awesome rear. I just can't justify dumping more money into this particular car since the motor got blown last summer. I hate to part with it, but if someone else can make good use of it in their project then I am all for it. I agree that it would be great for the OP since it leaves plenty of HP capacity open for him.
