Dorman replacement axle kit I had a bad axle and bearing so I bought a Dorman 630-122 repair kit, includes the axle shaft axle bearing and seal. Well I had already took the rear apart and changed the bearing and seal from the kit then took out the axle from the Dorman box............. What a piece of CRAP! Made in India all rusted and the splines on the end of the axle look like Godzilla chewed on them. All jagged and choppy looking, the factory axle splines looked nice and smooth.
I called Dorman help line but they basically didn't give a rat azz.
I had to put it back together using the Dorman axle but I'm not happy about. I cleaned all the rust off the best I could. I'm gonna order a used axle online and change it out and return the Dorman axle kit.
Anyone else ever buy one of these Dorman kits and install it?
