Default TA rear cover

Put a TA aluminum rear cover on a week ago. Saw a few drops of lube under the car after driving it. Got underneath it, and assumed it would be the two bolts that tighten against the main caps. No, bone dry there. Checked the drain plug and it was a little loose, so I tightened it. Was under the car today and saw a light film of lube on the bottom of the cover. Checked the drain plug and it had loosened up a bit. Does anybody know if blue Loc-tite is compatible with gear lube? Gonna suck to drain out all of the new lube to seal it up. Mmmm, the aroma of gear lube in the garage again.

Locktite or ultra black Permatex would be my two choices.

Torque bolts to spec... let high temp rtv set up over nite, than put lube back in. That way it gives it a chance of drying fully. Thats how i do it, no leaks ever.

This. Although, I'd lean to permatex RTV over loctite in this scenario.

If its a pipe thread then Teflon will do the deal. I used to seal stuff at work and test to 2k psi and it had no trouble sealing. Bad stuff.
