When to upgrade to a 12 bolt

When to upgrade to a 12 bolt So I've recently decided to give my '02 WS6 some major horsepower upgrades: BBK headers, cat delete, ls6 heads, texas speed beehive springs, chromoly pushrods, 28R cam, and 42lb injectors. I don't plan on taking the car to the dragstrip but rather will occasionally race it on track days and have it as my daily-driver. Is it time to upgrade my rear end? I just have a hard time parting with 2-3 grand for a 12 bolt if I don't need to yet. Supposedly, (I don't remember where I read this) the 10 bolt ms6 I have is good for 450 rwhp and torque but obviously the number is a bit ambiguous because a lot of that has to do with what kind of tires I'm running, what condition they're in, and how well I'm planting the power to the ground, plus driving characteristics (I'm not a redline clutch-dumper).

The when, is whenever you feel the need to start fortifying your chassis. Some people do it before any engine mods, and some people upgrade after their engine mods or if their 10 bolt is wasted. Personally I would upgrade if I was around 400rwtq.
have you done any suspension mods yet? lca's w relos; sfc's welded ? i wouldnt add sticky tires if your trying to make your 10 bolt last. when you decide you want peace of mind dumping the clutch with MT-ET streets then upgrade to a $3k 12 bolt plus $500 install (atleast for me). UGH why does a good rear cost so much i dont understand. if money talks mine only knows how to say goodbye! just spent 4k on new kitchen appliances last week. spare change for my 12 bolt? anyone? bueller? j/k cheers.
