Default Pros and cons of 12 bolt vs. 9 inch?

I'm trying to decide which to get. Here's some of my concerns.

Can't stand the idea of a Ford part in my Chevy.
Is one better for road racing or drag racing? I do both.
Which weighs more?
Cost.

The 9" is heavier but stronger. People say that a 12 bolt is fine for an auto but some have broken them in m6s. Depends on your power though... Ive looked for prices because I am going to be needing one or the other and they seem within a few hundred dollars in price.

With the 9in breakage is a thing of the past.
issues. heavy, sucks power.
I have heard the first retro fits had problems with noise (i understand new ones
do not)
12 bolts are not all that strong.(follow posts on here, alot of people break them)
i've been looking for info on rear swaybars..
looks like rear swaybars don't work on either without some major work..is this correct?
anyway, ever thought about a 8.8?

My 9" Moser with aluminum center section weighs only 10 lbs more than the stock 10 bolt did. I had to trim part of the torque arm mount down to get the sway bar to fit, but it was no big deal. And the ease of changing ratios with the 9" is really nice. The only real disadvantage is compatibility with 3 chanel ABS systems, but I hear a place called "Hot Rods from Hell" has one.

I think about another $150, but would have to pull the paper work to tell you for sure.

need to decide what torque arm you are going to use if it is not made for the 9 inch the adapter moves the arm over you will have problems especially if you car is lowerd on the other hand wolf and some othe's make one to bolt straight to the rear look into this befor you buy willyZ a friend of mine bent 2 crome molly torque arms because of this and their is more ratios for a 9 inch look at the number of ratios for a for it twice as many as for 12 bolt. for as breaking the 9 inch look up turbocharged.net bradys z look through pics for broken 9 inch parts and that is with an auto.
