So I have a 2000 slp SS m6. I had 4.10s in my 10 bolt, and broke a tooth. I picked up a rear from a 96 Trans am, but the problem I should have had with that was reversed. My SS had a 3 channel, and the rear out of the 96 had a 4 channel! my car does not have traction control, so I understand why I would have the 3 channel, but I bought the 96 rear expecting it to be a 3 channel as well, so I can only assume that who owned that car swapped it at 1 point. My question is, can I just swap my ls1 axles and brakes from my 3 channel into the 4 channel with the lt1 parts, or could I just bolt it in as is? I have read that the swap of the axles really isn't that bad, I just need to know the best and fastest way to do this. That 96 having a 4 channel really threw me off!
