Default stock rearend replacement

So I and adding a cam and better heads but rebuild on my 99camaro ls1 I also want to up the rearend to beable to handle the power with no worry I can no afford a brand new fabricated rearend was hoping to find a donor rearend? Is they any donors? I am not a fan of crossbreeding no ford 9in will say it is a good rearend but like to keep my gm cars what r the weak points on this rearends besides they r 7.5 ?
Can I take a 8.5 out of a second gen camaro and replaces the axles and axle housing with the 7.5?
Are there 9in that fit (just thinking as I write this )

Find a used rear for 1500$.

Who cares if it is a ford 9" setup, a 12 bolt or Dana 60. It will last and the fact that it's a direct bolt in, you should take to the fact that a 9" from moser, strange or whoever, there are probably zero ford parts in it.

The cost to make a 7.5 live is not worth it and usually on borrowed time.

You do have a couple options when it comes to rearends depending on what your budget allows the Strange S60 is always a good option as well as our fab 9'' we do offer a payment plan on our rears give us a call with any questions or concerns you might have and remember we always offer a low price guarantee.

On our fabricated nine inch we do, $500 down payment and pay as you go until it is paid off. This has gotten hundreds into our rear end that other wise would of had to settle for something lesser.

The FAB9's are sick rear ends whether you get it from Carl, MWC or Moser, payment plan or not it is a chunk of change. But I agree with Zone, if you wait around you can scoop up a used 12-bolt or something from the classifieds at a good price. If you have the fabrication skills you can build an 8.8, but going through someone else could get pricey. Got to pay to play.
