stock rearend replacement So I and adding a cam and better heads but rebuild on my 99camaro ls1 I also want to up the rearend to beable to handle the power with no worry I can no afford a brand new fabricated rearend was hoping to find a donor rearend? Is they any donors? I am not a fan of crossbreeding no ford 9in will say it is a good rearend but like to keep my gm cars what r the weak points on this rearends besides they r 7.5 ?
Can I take a 8.5 out of a second gen camaro and replaces the axles and axle housing with the 7.5?
Are there 9in that fit (just thinking as I write this )

Find a used rear for 1500$.
Who cares if it is a ford 9" setup, a 12 bolt or Dana 60. It will last and the fact that it's a direct bolt in, you should take to the fact that a 9" from moser, strange or whoever, there are probably zero ford parts in it.
The cost to make a 7.5 live is not worth it and usually on borrowed time.
