Default Pinion bearings?

Awhile ago I was enjoying a trip home from work, I guess I wasn't getting on it hard enough and didn't get tire spin into 2nd like usual and I guess that shocked the weak rearend . Since that moment I have whine that gets louder the faster you go. At 70 Mph it's pretty loud. The second you let off the gas it's gone, little pressure it's back, from what I read that's pinion bearings. Rear end mesh appears good. 2001 ss stock rearend.

Could try throwing a rebuild kit in the rearend and put everything back to spec.

You want to check bearing preload all around to start.
