Gearing Question
Gearing Question I have a MWC FAB9, with a spooled center; it has Richmond DD, but I can't remember if they are 410 or 411 gears.
I originally went with these gears because I was going to run a T56, but I picked up a modded A4 instead, so now my RPMs get deep, plus my 6.0 isn't cammed and it runs out of steam quick.
Anyways, I was wondering what would be a good gear to run, to get the RPMs down, and how would they run vs a 4xx gear?
Engine: LQ9 / LS6 Intake
Trans: 4L60E
Shift Kit: Transgo HD-2
TQ: FTI 3200 or 3400 (can't remember)

T56 with 4.10/4.11 is the popular combo,now with an A4,3.73s' seem popular. But, more importantly is torque convertor choice. FTI 3200/3400,not familiar with them,seem low compared to the consensus 3600-4000 from such as Yank,CircleD or equivalent. With a good convertor,A4 users have success with 2.73s',3.23s',3.42s',3.73s',4.10s',with most using 3.23,3.42,3.73.

Ive run 323 373 410, there isnt a ton of difference going up or down one step, maybe 400 rpm on hwy. The steeper gears should make your car more enjoyable for acceleration. Surprised you dont like them.
