Ring and Pinion Q!

After installing the rear end. breaking it in, and driving the spool for about 5000 miles. I started to wonder if something I noticed was normal.. or not normal. When I jack the rear end up, i get play in the wheel. IE: i grab the DS wheel and wiggle it forwards and backwards. It moves about an inch before enguaging the other tire. Is this normal or bad? does it mean that moser built my 3rd member wrong? Im considering taking the whole thing back out again and rebuilding the 3rd member due to whine and what sounds like grind. My money is on moser not building the 3rd member right but i need your opinions.

yes it is normal to have that much slack but considering that you have a spool, then yours might be too much. its hard to tell over the internet. i would just take it apart and check it out.
