Default Vibration problem while driving.

Hey guys, I have a 2002 trans am with 2.73 gears. I'm having an issue with a vibration from 65mph to 90mph. It only happens when i let off the gas. I've changed the transmission mount and tried a different drive shaft, but the vibration in still there. I also was wondering when i took the drive shaft off, i could spin the wheels a couple of times before the drive shaft would start to turn. Would that be due to the 2.73 gears or is the rear end messing up? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!!!

There are a lot of possibilities. I'd start by checking the torque arm bolts at the rear end as well as the torque arm bushing on the side of the trans. Make sure everything is tight throughout the rear suspension. I'll let others chime in on the 2:73 gear question.

I'm having a similar prob. New TKO 600 tranny and new driveshaft and recently rebuilt rearend. Done some recent AutoX and track events... I haven't ruled out a bent axle... Haven't done any diagnostics yet though.

If you can spin the wheels in same direction and the drive shaft doesn't move immediately, you got some serious **** broke in your rear end. Pop the cover.
