Default Broke wheel stud off front/right - how do I replace them

At the track this weekend, I broke a wheel stud off my front/right wheel. I bought a box of new studs from autozone (always good to have a few spares) but how do I get the old one out and the new ones seated in their. Looks like I can just knock it out . . . but do I need to remove the caliper?
thanks guys

Like you said, knock it out with a hammer...you need to remove the rotor and caliper of course...then the best way to seat it is, screw on a lug nut to the stud and torque it down until it is completly seated and your there.

No need to remove the caliper or rotor, just turn it so the broken stud is all the way towards the front of the car and knock it out, plenty of room even for long studs. Use a stock lug and a couple washers to pull the new one in, stick a screwdriver in the rotor fins and let it rest against the caliper when you are cranking the new stud in - you will feel when it seats all the way. 5 minute job.

You can buy longer/stronger ARP studs from thunder, easy to change and if you are running welds with a spacer its a really good idea to change them. They still work with the stock capped lug nuts..

Will these work with the Gorilla Lug nuts used with Smoothie II wheels? They are a closed cap lug nut. I bought a stock replacement stud, but after installing and fully seating it, it looks shorter than what is on there by about 1/4 inch, so I am thinking of getting the ARP's if they will work with the Gorilla Lug nuts.

Thanks!

That I cant tell you, all you can do is try and if they are too long you can cut them down with a cutoff wheel.
