I love my s60, it's narrowed 3"s per side, fit like a glove, torque arm mounted up like it's supposed to and I've deleted my ABS so never had any issues there. No gear noise whatsoever. I'd call and look around for a used one this time of year guys are getting out their cars and parting them out after the race season. I feel the weight and power loss are negligible for the value of a s60 vs a 9". Don't need weird torque arm adapters, gear sets can be set up easily with no shims like needed in a 12 bolt. Everyone likes to say you can just swap out center sections in a 9 and be good to go, but honestly who but the most hardcore guys have a center section just sitting in the garage "just because."

Its been good, no complaints. My only gripe is probably my own fault. I typically don't break my gears in when theyre new, and after i hammer on them they whine a little. No big deal just a minor annoyance. I have no patience for break in periods.

If u were doing all suspension at the same time, a Midwest chassis Fab 9 will be really close to price with all the others if u opt for the cheaper clutch type posi. I'd say it could all be done for about 3800 with driveshaft

I've had the strange 12 bolt for about 3 years now. It's still as quite as when new. I remember the noise my 10 bolt used to make. My car makes around 490rwhp & 450rwtq. Made over 30 track passes on the 12 bolt. No problems except what one other person noted. Got a little leak from the pinion seal that seems to come & go.

It's funny that video "how to break a strange 12 bolt axle". That's a pretty bad *** car that pops wheelies. Ran 10's over 130 on the 347 M6. Definitely the wrong choice of rear end from the beginning. Here's another vid of the car in that vid. Showing what the strange 12 bolt was holding up to before he broke an axle.

Earlier in the thread it sounded like you didn't want to spend the $$ that comes with a MWC Fab 9. Awesome choice and I love mine, but what persuaded you to go with that rear?
