Ratech solid spacer right torque?

Ratech solid spacer right torque? If I'm reading their instructions correctly, they want us to torque the pinion nut to 125 fllbs, to try to stablish the right preload, and after finding the correct spacing, torque again to 125 ftlbs? Assuming that is correct, how do you torque it to 125 ftlbs when the nut itself takes over 40 ftlbs to tighten alone, "i just pulled this number out of my ***," do I just add that value to 125 ftlbs? or is their 125 ftlbs just for set up purposes. I ask this because from the research I've done it seems people find the correct shims, and just send the nut down with their inner ape force and call it a day after getting the correct preload. They are not using the ratech spacer so am assuming if this is just a ratech thing. Thanks in advance.
