Most people transplant the axle tubes from the 7.5 over to the 8.8 and weld everything back together with a truing bar. You'll still need the Hiltsy Torque Arm mount to do the swap and a talented welder that knows how to preheat cast iron so that the Hiltsy mount can be burned in. Then you have to worry about whether or not the pinion area was distorted by the heat. Going the other direction,By the time you buy the mounts, get into the welding or hire a competent welder to do it for you, rebuild the carrier or buy one you're probably into the build deep enough to buy a pretty nice bolt in rear used from the marketplace. I've seen a few in there over the last two months.
