Wavetrac Differentials For 2015 to 2018 Camaros I started my build which is posted here in the forum and I used a 2018 Camaro Lt1 and 8L90e from that car. What I noticed is what a beautifully designed rear axle in that car. I thought I might like to use that entire assembly in a project. I realized the limiting factor is that the center section contains an electric-hydrauliclly controlled posi-traction differential.
To make a long story short I contacted Wavetrac http://wavetrac.net/ and asked them if they had a drop in mechanical differential to fit in the case. They said no but have had a few requests. They also stated they are willing to make small runs of 30-50 units and would make a diff unit to fit in the Camaro.
I propose that we enthusiasts get together on this thread and see if we can't muster up interest for at least a run of 30 Wavetrac diff units or more for the late model Camaro IRS.
Please post to the thread if you have an interest in a Wavetrac unit for the late model Camaro IRS. If there is enough interest we can discuss logistics and procedure later. I am interested in 2 units, possibly 3 Wavetrac units for the late model Camaro.
