Found a G80 with 3.42 in the junkyard out of a v6 car. Gonna pull it and put in my Black Z. It has a 2.73 gear posi right now so it will make quite a difference for the car. Other than new oil and additive is there anything I should maybe do with it? My inclination is to install it and run it,. I'm getting it for cheap. Not sure of the miles on the car but the interior seats look really good. So it appears whoever had it took pretty good care of it.
What channel, 3 channel is ABS only - 4 channel is ABS & TC, is the car ? And is the rear end going in the same ?
My car is 3 channel. I'm pretty certain the junkyard rear-end is 3 channel but I have to check it again to make sure. And yes its going in my car. Thus the reason for getting it, My black car has a 2.73 gear which isn't cutting it. Ha ha.
Heres the rear. Looks brand new inside. Had the typical metal on the magnet that is normal. This was a lucky find I didn't expect to come across. Got the rear for 145.
