Stubbern C clip Putting a 9" in my 2000 Camaro SS, I have the 10 bolt posi rear out of the car and need to remove the axles to salvage the disc brake mounts and backing plates. One side C clip came out (fell out) no problem, the other side I have been fighting for about 3 hours trying to get it out. The axle will slide in about 3/16 but just not enough to get the clip out. I have pried, removed the carrier caps lifting it a little trying to move it, nothing will move enough to let the clip clear and come out.
Does anyone have any ideas or tricks? There are no spacers to remove. I'm losing my mind here.

1- if the car has 4channel ABS & TC, the sensor in the backing plate needs to be removed.
2- if that side had the axle bearing previously replaced with an 'axle saver bearing assembly', that longer assembly is preventing it from moving inward.

I’m not sure what that means but
will look at it tomorrow. I don’t
see anything behind the reluctor
ring stopping it from moving inwward. The C clip went in it will come out somehow.

Thanks FirstYr, I found the round base to that sensor was hitting the reluctor gear ring. Removed it from the rear and boom, out it came.
Thanks for the heads up, I looked everywhere else but there for the problem, well on my way to installing the 9" now.
