Turning noise I know this is not a transmission issue but a 94 10bolt 8.5 issue but was afraid would have to wait a month to get a reply.
anyways did you fluid change on my diff and swapped gaskets, filled it with 75-90 fluid and now I get a howling/humming when I turn both directions. What could this be? It was making any noises before the maintenance.

I believe those Valvoline containers are all synthetic but I'm only like 90% sure
Your auburn rear calls for conventional oil, not synthetic. Not using conventional can cause performance issues in the diff.
Several guys have noted noises and other issues after using synthetic. Worth a shot...
