I did my pinon seal back in 2018 as it was leaking. Since then, been nice and dry. I noticed this week a very slight diff sweat on bottom of housing, appears to be coming from pinon seal. This was very minor, but I thought it was weird due to seal being fairly new. I checked the vent.. and ya, it was more a plug then a vent. Years of rust proofing in there had plugged this thing solid. Removed, cleaned the vent and the diff housing all up - hoping it was just an increase in pressure allowing some fluid by the pinon.
Figure I'd post this as a PSA to check them vents.
