Default 3 channel or 4 channel rear?

Im about to purchase a strange S60 rear diff for my 98 Camaro SS. How can I tell if the stock rear end is a 3 channel or a 4 channel so I can give the right specs to strange when ordering?

Did the car come equipped with traction control (ASR)?

You mean a "Low Trac" light in the gauge cluster?

Just to be sure, you can check your SPID (Service Parts ID) sticker on the driver's door jamb for the 3-digit code "NW9". That code is the RPO for traction control, so if you don't see it on the sticker then the car didn't come with it.

Also, you can look for the module mounted behind the battery, next to the AC canister in the engine bay. It's got a black top and has cables running between it and the throttle body. If this module ISN'T there, you don't have traction control:

Or you can peek behind your back wheels and see if there is a abs sensor on lower part of brake backing plate. 4 channel has 1 on each side. 3 channel only has one on the center section
