Default 4 Inch OD Driveshaft?

Hi all,

Has anyone successfully used a 4 inch driveshaft on a ls1 f-body without rubbing/banging? I have an opportunity to pick one up on the cheap but wasn't sure if it would fit as AI is giving conflicting information. The car is lowered 1.5 inches and will be mated to a 4l60e and a Quick Performance 9 inch.

Thanks

Stop using AI to answer automotive questions. In fact, just stop using AI, period.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure that will hit something under the car, but you might get lucky.

I thought the biggest DS you could fit was 3.5" and that was even pretty tight

Until your AI source has opposable thumbs, and a tape measure, it's answers to your questions are just a curated, averaged summation of available internet drivel.

Garbage IN, Garbage OUT

If you can pick one up on the cheap, doesn't that mean the person you're picking it up from either used it or tried to use it?
Why don't you ask them if it did or didn't work?
