8.8 dumb question
their own version of this swap. the only part of the 8.8 you use is the center housing
and caps. everything else from something else. axle tubes stock 10 bolt. carrier from
eaton/auburn/strange/ect, axle shafts moser, gears fms. if you have the skills and
the parts guessing you might save 600/700 but, how many have you done?
do you have the cash to experiment? cheaper to go with something somebody else
has worked the bugs out of (and has a warranty) than the "i can do it cheaper" line.
after all, it's only a rear axle, how important can that be?
