for 3.73 gear drivers I have read a million(feels like it) past threads about shift points but can't find any good written numbers for where to set them with 3.73 gears. What have you guys set your rpm's/ mph's/ and rev limiters at with 3.73? Thanks. I am having trouble at dyno in 2-3 hitting rev limiter and finding right shift points.
You gotta play with your shift points. Mine are way higher than stock because of my cam. FWIW, I found that the part throttle shift points needed a lot of work to get it to feel good and my WOT downshift points needed a big adjustment.
If you are tagging on the spray you may need to back them down a bit (is your tranny up to the task
). I also found that shift points that worked great on the street did NOT work at the track with my ET Streets. At the track, I need to back them down 2 mph on he 1-2, and 4 mph on the 2-3.
Lastly, After I switched to 3.73s, my 2-3 was prone to hitting the rev limiter if I raced in D, but if I raced with the selector in OD, everything worked fine.
