Gear whine
Took it back to the shop. They said gears may be bad due to improper break-in, however, they would try to adjust them. While the car was there, they dyno tuned it. Got the car back and they said noise was normal. I don't see how it could be normal if they didn't make noise for the first 500 miles. Is it just me?
Aftermarket performance gears are cut for "strength" not silent running.
OEM gears are machined for quite operation and less for strength.
Now, does gear whine mean that they gears are BAD? Because if it's only a noise and doesn't mean anything, I could care less.
