Question Thoughts on 9inch opportunity

I called the local gm auto yard for any possible rear ends lying around, the guy tells me he can get any Ford 9 in I want, axles to the right length, and gears that I want for about 800 bucks. Now that sounds like a good deal, but there's also the installation hassle that I have really no Idea of what's all involved. The guy tell me I'll have to cut off the perches, get a shorter driveshaft, and get the lugnut pattern changed over. My car is basicly stock M6, I just broke an axle and the stock torsen rear end. I could either replace the axle and build up the 10 bolt, or spend the same amount of money and get a ford 9 in, that I'm not so sure on how to mount into my camaro. Any thought on what I should do, or info on 9 inch install?

I personally would not do it. I would buy one that fit our cars.
I do have a 10 bolt for sale pm for info.

I got just axles for sale if ya want too..
keep in mind the 9" will take alot of work to make fit(lots of welding etc)

And I would be willing to be it would be quite a bit heavier then a moser 9". Mine was 199lb Shipped!. A 12 bolt is 190 lbs shipped. And the stock 10 bolt is about 155 lbs.

it'll work if you know exactly where to weld all the brackets youll need and find someway to attach the torque arm, id stay away myslef

Thanks for all the input guys. I found a 9 in for sale that was in a third gen, but I guess the third gens are 1.5-2.0 inches narrower on each side. When I measured there was no way it could work, so I just bought a new auburn diff and stud girdle for the stock 10 bolt. I have an M6, I hope this set up holds until I get out of college or I find a nice used 12 bolt for sale.
