from the way it seems...its a toss up really...

i would say get a 12 bolt posi unless your hoping for bullit proof then go 9in posi

if you look into 12 bolts its a toss up Strange vs Moser/SLP (engineered by moser)

so far from comparisons i personally like the Moser/SLP ...im gonna do SLP because of its specs and its the same price if not cheaper

check out there sight youll like what you see...12 bolt Eaton Posi, aluminum differential cover, 33spline, 1350yoke, 8.875" axles and soem other stuff (does moser also have the 8.875" axle or is that an option? or is that the uniqueness of SLP's?)

Two things:

1. 12 bolts have had problems whining, especially Moser.

2. Moser is shipped in pieces and requires assembly, while Strange is completely assembled and ready to bolt in.

Might want to take these things into consideration.

A 9inch posi is not bullet proof (I learned tha hard way!). The posi is the weak link. A 9" with a spool or locker is bullet proof, but that would not satisfy his needs for roadracing.

I say go with a 12bolt Strange with Posi.

Carlos, you did something to your 9"? (I meant rear end! ) You runnin' slicks now?

My Strange 12 Bolt is holding up well, but the official test will be 12/11/04 when we rent out Bradenton for a day with 20+ passes in store...

Ah hell, I just replaced my old Moser 9" with a new one. Long story. But everything is fine now. Posi went. Other things needed replacing. Was rebuildable but when I factored in man hours for the rebuild, it made more sense to get a new one. Afterall, the old one was purchased used and was never in great condition to begin with. Cut my loss and started fresh.
