Default Weight of a 9"

Well, I have finally received all of the parts I need to assemble my 9" and just thought I would shed some light on a previous post about the weight. This is a Moser housing (with T/A, and stock length), Moser 35 spline axles, longer replacement metric studs with the 4 channel ABS reluctor rings, a Strange Pro Iron center section with a Tractech 35 spline locker, steel or cast Daytona style pinion support, 1350 style yoke and 4.11 gears; on all this stuff the shipping weight was 242 lbs. It was all shipped seperately and here are the shipping weights of the packages:
torque arm-15 lbs
axles and bearings-60 lbs
housing-78 lbs
complete center section- 89 lbs.
Of course this includes some extra packaging (center section came in a cool plastic reusable tote), but does not include the backing plates, brakes or any of that stuff. Before the final install I will get exact weights of everything and then I will weigh the stock stuff that came out (except for the little pieces of the axle that have already made it to the trash).

Someone on the board said his complete 9" shipped was 199 lbs. Mine will not be that light. I am sure there is some excess weight in packaging, but I bet mine weighs at least 225lbs if not more. I have also heard ball park weights of the stock rear being 150 lbs. If I only gain 75 lbs with this 9", I will be thrilled. By the way, mine is the nodular iron center, in fact it is the pro iron center (more ribbing, larger chrom moly caps, and a few other extras) which is 7 lbs heavier than the S series nodular case.
