Default Pinion seal replace NOISES

i got a 2000 camaro ss i just went to the shop and got my pinion seal replaced. now when im in 1st and tap the gas i get a clunking noise. when i start to go 30miles an hour or more i here this weird now coming from my rear and under the air rest like a clicking noise or like a tire that has a hole letting air out. what is it ? they overtorqued the pinion not and damaged the pinion bearing or crush collar?

Overtorqued or undertorqued, one of the two was done improperly it sounds. I've never liked the idea of changing just the seal on the pinion. I know some guys have luck getting it done properly, but most shops can't do it right. Once the crush sleeve has been crushed, I don't how how they can get the specs back in line. A leak on a rearend is so freaking common on most cars. I know it's ugly, but it's not the end of the world. Besides, aren't you getting the itch for some better gears by now?
