Default Solid pinion spacer question

I was test fitting my solid pinion spacer and notice that it fits much looser on the pinion than a new crush sleeve. Is this normal?

Thanks

John

How much looser? That is normal unless it is excessive. Are we talking like .040-.060? That would be acceptable.

Well I guess it is not an issue. The crush sleeve measured 1.218 id and the solid spacer measured 1.271 id so the difference is .053.
