Default Another leaking rearend question

Hello, I recently purchased a 98 z28 w/a4. I have maybe put 10 miles on the car since I have had it. It has been sitting in storage now for about 35 days and I noticed a puddle under the rear end. Just upon first glance it looks as if the leak is coming from the front side of the housing, where the DS connects. I guess this would be a pinion seal of some sort. The puddle is about 10 in. in diameter. I dont plan on driving this car until may, how hard of a fix is this? I am planning on uprgading the gear to a 3.83 or taller. What are my options for a semi descent rearend without having to drop $2000 on a moser or the likes. (Im a newb to F-body) Thanks!

Here in Texas I know a guy, that would be able to install new gears(correctly),replace all the seals, and fill ya with fluid for aroung 4-500 out the door. Not sure where you are located but im sure geographic locations wont effect price THAT much. Hell, I see used stock 10-bolts selling for 150-250(some with and some without backing plates). Worse case, If its to pricey to fix the one you have, buy a low mileage one and replace the whole thing.

my 4-500 was including gears. so that 250 is about right. gears avg 200.
