gear?

I know that has prolly been asked a million times but i want to know how can you tell what gears came with the car?

look up the vin number?????? that is what I am guessing, before you go taking the rearend apart....

look at your option codes i think there on the drivers door. gu2 is 2.73 gu5 is 3.23 and gu7 is 3.42. if memory serves me right.

6 speeds are 3.42 if youre an auto and dont have the 1st gear selector then its a 2.73 if you can put it in first its a 3.23

What kinda difference will a 3.23 to a 3.73 make. Will it be worth it?

I have a 96 ws6 formula, I believe is a 3.23 stock

I want 3.73 or 4.10, everyone tells me 4.10 is way to much.

As far as the 3.23 to a 3.73 what would be worth more as far as 0-60 gains,
3.73 or long tube headers?
