how do u know what is "straight" when trying to line the rear end back up after lowering the car?... and how to shift the car one way or the other to get it "straight"?

you measure the distance form the edge of your tire to the wheel well. The adjustable PHR have ends that thread in and out so the side (tire)that sticks out the most should be shortened at the rod end. Some body correct me if I'm wrong.

That sounds about right to me. You could do the measuring buy grabbing on of those suction cup hooks and tying it to one end of a string. at the other end of the string you could tie a weight (i.e. nut, bolt, ect....). Place the suction cup on the fender and measure away.
