Tranny Swap
Ok this isn't your a4-m6 tranny or m6-a4 tranny question, but just out of wonder, when you swap out the stock m6 for an aftermarket m6, what has to be taken into consideration? I know the stock m6 is pretty strong, but it's a what if question so humor me <img src="images/icons/grin.gif" border="0">

Re: Tranny Swap
Hi there,
The standard MM6 in any f car is rated at about 460 ft lbs, if my memory serves. As for aftermarket, syncros, inner and outer cones, and a few other components are changed.
I have MM6 transmissions taking 600 ft lbs, without any major work, so I would say it safe. If you change your fluids on a regular interval, you should be fine for some time to come.
