Rearend options, please help

Rearend options, please help My car is a 2002 T/A with stock 10 bolt and 3.42's. i have a TCI 3500 converter, lid, headers, and a cam. Car laid down 362rwhp with the converter unlocked and 380 with the converter locked. I just put in a brand new carrier, ring and pinion at 34,000miles and now i have 39,000. If I'm lauching at 3000rpm with nittos....do you think my axle will go SPLAT?? i'm not going to be racing at the track with sticky tires but only one time just to see what my car is capable of. should i go ahead and go with a 12bolt or try the stock rearend? suggestions and opinion would be appriciated greatly!!!

I think yoiu will be fine, really. Freak things do happen, but based on what you stated, I wouldn't do it unless you are going to power up with sticky tires.

automatic cars are able to load up the gears when launching, M6 guys like me and scrudedude just dump the clutch and kiss our rear ends goodbye
you shouldnt have a problem, especially with the 3.42 gears. and even if you do happen to break it, replacement parts and even complete rear ends are cheap as dirt. you would probably kick yourself in the *** after spending all that money for a new carrier and gear set when entire rear ends can be bought with whatever gear you want off of this board for about 300 bux. i had been looking for a 3 channel 10 bolt w/ 3.73's for a while when my 10 bolt blew, and i went ahead and bought a 12 bolt.
