3.23 to a 3.73
What differences will this make? Should I go for a 4.10 on my auto?? I know I'll lose top end with the 4.10's though. Does this also mean that since it came from the factory with a 3.23, that it is a 3 series carrier? What company would you prefer? Strange, Richmond, Motive? Which one has the best quality?
I have a 1997 Firebird Formula..also, if I got 4.10's, could it damage my rear end quicker?

Go with 3.73s. Stay away from 4.10s in a 10 bolt either way. 4.10 is too much gear for an A4. I have Motives and I like them, but I have used Richmonds before without incident. The pinion on 4.10s is very small, and that is why they don't last the greatest. Good luck with whatever you choose, but I would stay amay from 4.10s.

4.10's are too much gear-3.73's are awesome....the perfect gear for autos i feel is 3.42's-but its really no diff i guess
if your cammin it and getting alot of power-raising the rev limiter REALLY high then go for 4.10's but thats only if you get a 12 bolt or 9" rear
3.73's should be fine even the 3.23's would be fine-gears dont make much diff in autos from what ive seen only 4.10+'s and thats strictly drag cars with 7000 RPM redlines and ****
