Moser 9" ABS/Low Trac problems
Test drove the car today and found that the ABS is coming on at the tap of the brake pedal. The low trac light is also coming on. We scanned the mph of each wheel while driving and found that the left rear sensor is a couple mph off. I've read a few posts which say that the studs on Moser setups interfere with the ABS sensors- therefore requiring shims. Is this my problem? We'll try shimming tomorrow to see if this works, if not, I'm having ABS deleted.
This Moser 9" install has really been a test of patience.

My Moser 12 bolt did the same thing, first I changed the sensors side to side no luck. Then I shimmed out the D/S speed sensor, no luck. Then I replaced it with the same results. I was changing out the rear pads and noticed that several of the D/S wheel studs had backed out and 1 was rubbing against the axle slowing that side just enough for the sensors to pick it up. Check and see if all of your studs are good and tight. Cheap fix.

1/4 is awefully thich shims, that would pull the wheel speed sensor completely away from the gear. I would tend to think something else is wrong.

Shimming seemed to have worked temporarily, but ABS INOP just triggered after a few miles of driving. Haven't scanned the wheel MPH yet. The sensors may very well be clear of the teeth now.

Mine did the same thing when I shimmed it out, worked for alittle while then the light back came on. Check those studs and see if they backed out. Once I tightened them back down and used Loctite it went away for good.

i installed a moser 9" last weekend and since i have a 3ch car.....no ABS for me. might as well benefit from the weight reduction of those components, where'd you find this SJM !ABS kit SouthFL? Only setup I've run across is the kit @ Billingsley Racing.
