98 camaro gears
#3
Unless you are going to run the car at a drag strip with sticky tires, I would suggest to stay with the factory gears for street driving and your daily driver.
More gear will accelerate faster and be more fun to drive since shifting into third gear can be done at 70 mph instead of 90 mph. The down sides to more gear is worse fuel economy (daily driver and premium fuel), more rpms and exhaust drone during cruising, and a real lack of traction in first or second gear on the street (which is fun, though frowned upon by the police).
Just my two cents.
