alright, here is my situation. I have a stock internal ls1 with all the boltons, including a tci 4000 stall with a 2.7str and the stock 2.73 gear, and mickey thompson 275/50/15 drag radials. my question is, should i change my gear to a 3.73 now in the 10 bolt, or should i just wait til the strange 12 bolt. the car is not a daily driver, but i do plan on taking it on all of power tour and driving it on the weekends when it is nice. my future plans include H/C with no more than a 150 wet shot. i remember some people saying it wasn't good to drive in overdrive with a big stall and the stock 2.73 gear. is that correct? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

 

Find ya a 3:42 rear end or 2nd option 3;23 rear take out on the sale items. These gears will last longer a won't break as easy as the lower gears. And buy ya a T/A cover for it. Should improve you a bit!
