Default Need some good advice

I'm wanting to get rid of the slow go 2.73 gears my car came with and go to at least a 3.42, but have no idea what is the best, cheapest route to go. What all do I need to just change the gear ratio? Should I just find another rear at a junk yard with lower gears? Is the ring and pinoin all I need? Will that ratio fit my carrier? How hard is it to change? Thanks for any info

I have a set of used stock 3.42's out of my WS6. They are in perfect shape and have low miles on them. I'll ship them for 100.00, if youre interested PM me.

what does that include? Is that just the ring and pinion? If so what else do I need to make the swap?

You get the Ring and pinion set with the pinion spacer sleeve and the pinion bearing too which is already pressed on the pinion gear and still in excellent shape. All you would need to buy extra is fluid, posi additive, and some liquid gasket (RTV).

What about a 3.73? Would it fit, and what all would I need to buy to make it work?

3.73'S will fit too, If you get them new you will have to buy a gear install kit for about 150.00. The kit pretty much consists of the pinion bearing, the sleve, a gasket, and carrier bearings that hardly anyone replaces because they have to be pressed off and on by a machine shop or someone with a press that's qualified.
