Gearing affecting odometer??
I have 4.10's in the rear right now, and I dont have a tune just yet. Therefore, my odometer is reading more mileage than the car actually has. (Ex:If I travel 1 mile, it might read 1.5 miles. Just an example. never measured it.) When I get a tune next week, if I get it tuned as if I have 4.56's in the rear, will it actually slow down my odometer? (i.e. I go one mile, but it actually registers as 7/10 of a mile, or so) I plan on going with 4.56's this summer. Then, all should be correct, right? Thanks for any input.
Edit: 4.10's with speedo thinking I have numerically lower gear =more mileage, and speedo reading too fast
4.10's with speedo thinking I have numerically higher gear= less mileage, and speedo reading too slow
Correct?
