is this normal?? i need help fast. i put a new axle in my 2000 camaro SS. i now have everything back together but when i have the car in gear and i turn one axle the other axle spins the opposite way. i thought thats not supposed to happend on a posi. also when it is in gear i can turn the ring gear with my hand and the driveshaft turns. i'm not sure if all this is normal but i don't think it is. the only thing i did was take out that steel block in the middle so i could see the c-clips. what could be worng. somebody help please Btw when i am in gear and i turn one axle the other goes the opposite way but the ring gear does not move only the side gears and the spider gears do.

Torsen? Sounds like you have a Torsen differential in that axle. It acts like a one wheel wonder but under load is applies equal torque to the tires.
