Default Piece of JUNK

That 10bolt is such a piece of junk. I was dropping some friends off at work ( a Pontiac dealership ) and started to back up when I heard a big CLUNK. I thought I hit a car. But no, I started going forward and it clunked even more. It only clunks about every 15 feet so that makes me think I stripped a tooth? But hey, I was 20 feet away from the service department and they're covering it under warranty hahaha. Too bad I didn't break it in a "fun" way, like at the track.

I totally agree with you, the stock 10 bolt is JUNK A 12 bolt is a must do mod and then you can without worrying

I would love to have one but I don't have the $2,000 plus dollars for it.

That sucks, at least the service dept. was right there. The rearend is actually assembled with toothpicks and ducktape, sorry you didn't know! I can't wait till I blow mine out next spring. It won't be long till I hit the juice and hear the great sound of BOOM......clunk clunk clunk

I am starting to get a weird clunk with mine. It only happens when I start out from having the car parked a while - sounds like someone twanged a spring (and it is the rearend, not the suspension).

I think I got on it too hard with these Nitto DRs, amazing given that my car does not have that much more power relative to stock. I have a feeling that a good clutch pop with my soon-to-get 422 would give me an interesting visual: The sound of a freely revving engine as my car drifts forward and I see scrap parts in my rearview mirror Fortunately, I will have a 12-bolt then
