? about Blowing a 10 Bolt...
The 10 bolt was built to handle a stock vehicle with street tires, I know plenty of people that launch there cars hard on the street and have no problems. As with any company, they are not going to put extra money into something that is plenty strong for the designed use of the vehicle. I work at a tractor assembly plant, and if they can save a dollar on each tractor, they will.

I see mustangs launching hard all the time and they dont have this problem. I have a friend squeezing 150 on his 5.0 and has not upgraded his rear end.

I snapped the driver side axle shaft off at the carrier. Not a cool feeling. Gm knows the axle is sub standard, thats why they messed with the stock clutch set up so much to lessen the hit to the rear axle.

for better gas mileage.cheaper to put a 10 bolt in also.
