Y-pipe banging floor board...???
The y pipe...from about where it Y's to where it connects to the intermediate pipe is right up against the floor board...I have tried everything I can think of to lower with out any succes.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
If it's clamped down on one end, they would be able to bend it pretty easy.
Hell, if they're really good, they might be able to do it while it's on the car, just watch out for burning carpet and make sure they use a heatshield.

Dont feel like the lone stranger... your not the first nor will you be the last with that comment.
The banging? is there no adjustment to them?
Can you clamp a thick piece of hose between the y-pipe and the floor board? What about a clamp on the motor to the K-member to keep the motor from torqueing over? Of course, the HAMMER will work wonders (OUCH).

Torque strap (similar to Raugh's solution but with a strap instead of a clamp)
On an FLP install, Jason welded a 941 spring in between the pipe and floorboard at the point of contact. No more banging!! Unique solution, but it worked.
Needless to say, I hate speedbumps.
