Default Y-pipe banging floor board...???

I just finished installing SLP LT's...in which I must say was the hardest install ever in my life...but that is a whole other story....
The y pipe...from about where it Y's to where it connects to the intermediate pipe is right up against the floor board...I have tried everything I can think of to lower with out any succes.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

I think your best option, if it is available to you, is to take just the Y-pipe off and either you or have your favorite exhaust shop heat it up where it is touching so they can persuade it down a bit.
If it's clamped down on one end, they would be able to bend it pretty easy.
Hell, if they're really good, they might be able to do it while it's on the car, just watch out for burning carpet and make sure they use a heatshield.

Dont feel like the lone stranger... your not the first nor will you be the last with that comment.

The banging? is there no adjustment to them?
Can you clamp a thick piece of hose between the y-pipe and the floor board? What about a clamp on the motor to the K-member to keep the motor from torqueing over? Of course, the HAMMER will work wonders (OUCH).

Not sure why a few SLP's are banging but the majority do not. A couple other fixes I've seen:

Torque strap (similar to Raugh's solution but with a strap instead of a clamp)

On an FLP install, Jason welded a 941 spring in between the pipe and floorboard at the point of contact. No more banging!! Unique solution, but it worked.

Consider yourself lucky. Lots of us have y-pipes that hang so low...it was the same with the square oem piece. Just where it hangs. Had no luck finding anyone who can readjust it to be higher.

Needless to say, I hate speedbumps.
