Default Transmission mount bolts?

Hey gang I recently insstalled a poly trans mount. I have a question. There are two bolts on either side of the transmission crossmember. Now when I went to install them and torque them down? They would tighten then seem to slip? I could not get them to tighten anymore. Is this common? or did I do something wrong? any suggestions
thanks

Yes you did something wrong and it's not gonna be good news.

BAD NEWS: You overtorqued and stripped the bolt threads <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

I would have to agree you stripped the threads. While where on this subject, I changed mine out today and now there seems to be way more vibration in the car and noise. is this normal with the poly mount? i dint realize it would transfer that much noise...

LOL guys this is an OLD topic. Yeah the transmission mount bolts were stripped. But you will still get some vibration from the mount. It is normal. But try and launch that thing <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> You can feel it immediately. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

I have seen a bunch of guys go back to the stock mount. I am not far away from the same move. Is the vibration worth it, IMO NO!!

Yup, stripped. Invest in a torque wrench! When I installed my mount I believe it was only like 36ft/lbs.
