I will check pinion bearing preload first... since that does not require me gutting all of it.... i think... and the icing on the damn cake is i left my car at my buddies house last night.... did a lil drinking so i did not drive..... come back, damn, rear tire is low on pressure.... then i notice a gaping hole in my rear window!!!! sweet, gear whine and a busted window.... YAY

oh yea, i reused the stockers... couldnt get the now shims to get the right backlash... might add a lil if the preload is off..... i figured it might have been pinion depth, but that coulda been bearing preload off

Well, the pinion was pretty loose in there... tightened it up, took care of some of it, but it still whines a lil on decel, checked the pinion again... its sitting pretty good, could it now be a lil bit of a backlash problem?
I have a buisted window so ill not be driving it til monday(tomorrow) so i have a day to try and fix it... for some reason im not that mad about the prospect of tearing it all apart again if need be... it is something to do...lol
