Thrashed that ring and pinion
The other day i was at the track and after my third run i started hearing a real loud banging and clicking so i took the cover off of my stock 10 bolt differential and found out that about 3 teeth were gone off of my pinion gear and my ring gear is all chewed up and a lot of metal shavings were on the magnet. I dont know if i just need a new ring and pinion or if i tore a lot more up than i think. I would appreciate any advice or input

well, its more than possible that the differential could be trashed, but look inside it and if it looks normal, you could be fine...some of the seals and bearings might be damaged but i am not sure... good luck

If the housing is still good! Disassemble the rear clean out good and get all the metal shavings out! Buy ya a master install kit and gears assemble and give it heck till it breaks again!TA girdle may make it last alittle longer if ya touture it alot!
