The new 2002 4L60E-HD that is. If my stock tranny ever plays out, this will be replacing it.

I thought about that too, but the picture I have seen of this trans looks like a conventional 4L60E without any special tail housing.

Re: Should this be your next Transmission? I think the 2001 and 2002 f-body already get the Heavy duty unit, if not this basically what you get if you do an aftermarket rebuild. More clutches, etc.
